AICB and Deloitte held their 3rd webinar collaboration of the year on 28 Sept 2021 @ 10.30 am, covering the topic of “Terrorism Financing/Proliferation Financing Risk Assessment”. Moderated by Radish Singh, Partner – Forensic, Financial Crime Compliance Leader – SEA of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, Singapore, the insightful session saw speakers Ahmad Latifi Awaludin and Mohamad Haizad Safie of the Financial Intelligence and Enforcement Department at Bank Negara Malaysia, Aida Kasumawati Mohd Yatim of the Banking Supervision Department at Bank Negara Malaysia, and Rashmi Dubier, Managing Director, APAC Head of AML at MUFG Bank, Singapore discussing the essential elements of sound TF/PF risk management from a regulatory and industry perspective. Discussions also centred on the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) Recommendations for financial institutions, including the identification, assessment and understanding of TF/PF risks, the challenges of implementing these requirements, and best practices on the supervision and monitoring of TF/PF risk assessment and mitigation. The webinar was attended by close to 90 individuals.
