Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP)
AICB’s 3rd collaboration of the year with PwC Malaysia, titled “Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP)”, brought together experienced industry leaders from PwC and Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) to share their knowledge and insights on the global and local RRP landscape. The panel, which comprised Stefan Linder, Director — Financial Services of PwC Germany; Glenda Eng, Associate Director — Risk Services of PwC Malaysia, and Ho Kwok Piow, Lead Specialist, Risk Assessment and Resolution of @PIDM, discussed the RRP framework and practices in other jurisdictions, and the key lessons learnt in the adoption of its elements. They also provided an overview of the local RRP scene and how the RRP Framework in Malaysia would evolve following the recent release of Bank Negara Malaysia’s policy report on recovery and resolution planning. The panel also highlighted key elements of a solid recovery plan, best practices in RRP, and ways in which FIs can improve their resolution planning processes. The webinar was held on 19 August 2021 @ 2 pm and attended by over 130 individuals.
