AICB and EY hosted the “Budget 2024 Tax Updates” webinar on 16 November 2023, which focused on the key highlights of Budget 2024 and its strategies to accelerate economic growth, upskill the country’s workforce, and ensure the rakyat’s well-being. EY’s tax expert, Koh Leh Kien, Partner, Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd, provided a snapshot of Budget 2024 and shared keen insights on how it affects businesses. Key areas covered in the session included the implementation of Capital Gains Tax in Q1 next year, the various tax incentives offered, and key aspects of Indirect Tax, Individual Tax, and e-Invoicing. Over 120 individuals attended the webinar.
