AICB is proud to be a Supporting Partner of the International Compliance Association’s (ICA) APAC Masterclass Series: Economic Crime Compliance Support, which was held on 20–22 March 2024 at the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Recognising the complexities and challenges faced by organisations in navigating regulatory landscapes, managing technology-driven fraud risks, and upholding ethical standards in today’s interconnected business world, the series — themed “Mastering Economic Crime Compliance for Success” — offered delegates an immersive problem-solving experience focused on real-world economic compliance scenarios, providing them with cutting-edge knowledge and insights in three pivotal areas — Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and Fraud.

Tailored to equip board members, senior executives, and compliance professionals seeking advanced expertise in economic crime compliance, the masterclass series provided delegates with actionable insights, strategies, and tools for enhanced economic crime compliance, from addressing regulatory challenges to leveraging technology for fraud prevention. Among the areas covered included companies’ role in protecting disappearing media being used by employees; challenges presented by regulators in the US, UK and EU; the role of technology in managing fraud; prevention of internal corruption within organisations; human rights due diligence, and new whistleblowing initiatives across the US, UK and EU.
