On 22 May 2017, a total of 130 participants attended the second instalment of the AICB Global Banking Discourse Series, titled Best Practices on Compliance Risk Assessment, held at Istana Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The one-day session provided insights for financial institutions to obtain a greater understanding of compliance obligations, compliance risk exposure and impact, and risk mitigation. AICB Chief Executive, Prasad Padmanaban, was also present to officiate the event. From Deloitte Singapore, Giam Ei Leen, Global FSI Partner; Philip Chong, Risk Advisory Partner; and Carene Siew, Global FSI Director, presented an overview and shared their insights on compliance obligations and compliance risk assessment. Ravi Duvvuru, Regional Head of Compliance for ASEAN & South Asia, Standard Chartered Bank also shared the industry perspective on compliance risk assessment.
