Professional Credit Certification Education Pathway
STANDARD ROUTE – ENROLMENT
a) In order to enrol as a candidate for each level of the Professional Credit Certification (PCC) Education Pathway, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:

The Institute may consider on a case-by-case basis, candidate who does not meet the minimum education requirements set out above but have acquired at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the banking and financial services industry. |

ACCELERATED ROUTE – EXEMPTION
- The Institute will consider granting exemption from modules or parts of a qualification based on prior learning and/or relevant credit experience in the banking and financial services industry and is a concession granted at the discretion of the Institute and not an automatic entitlement. A formal application for exemption must be made.
- Relevant credit experience should be in credit appraisal, credit approval or credit review (audit).
- Every application for exemption will be considered on an individual basis and the exemptions granted will be based on the applicant’s qualifications and work experience which will differ from one applicant to another.
- Candidates who are granted exemption from specific level(s) or module(s) or part(s) of a qualification will be able to enrol for the level/part of the qualification as is determined by the Institute.
- Granting exemption is the prerogative of the Institute and the Institute reserves the right to change its exemption policy and criteria at any time.
- Exemptions will be considered for the Certified Credit Executive modules, Retail Credit Professional modules and Business Credit Professional modules.
- A candidate is required to apply for exemption(s) at the time of qualification enrolment prior to registration for the first module of the chosen qualification. Applications made thereafter will not be considered.
- The Institute will only consider completed qualifications for purposes of exemption. Partially completed qualifications or subject passes are not acceptable.
- Qualifications submitted for exemption purposes must be awarded by universities/higher education institutions recognised by the awarding country’s Ministry of Higher Education or equivalent authority or the National Qualification Accreditation Agencies.
- Malaysian qualifications should be listed in the Malaysian Qualifications Register or in the Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) website.
- For banking/credit/accounting qualifications from education institutions or professional bodies, applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ credit work experience as approved by the Institute.
- For other qualifications, applicants should have a minimum of 5 years’ credit work experience as approved bythe Institute.
- For qualifications awarded by the Institute, applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ credit work experience as approved by the Institute.

EXEMPTION FEE
- Applicants for exemption from any module or part of a qualification will be required to pay the following fees:
FEE AMOUNT Exemption application fee RM100 per application Module exemption fee RM250 per module - The exemption application fee is payable upon submission of the application for exemption and is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.
- The module exemption fee is payable for each module for which exemption is awarded and payment is to be made upon approval of such exemption.
APPROVAL
- All applications for enrolment as a candidate for any AICB qualification or exemptions will be processed in accordance with the requirements set out in the regulations and the applicants may be contacted in case additional information is required.
- Applicants will be informed of the Institute’s decisions within 10 working days from date of application (upon receipt of full and complete documentation) for qualifications and experience already assessed.
- Where the applicant’s qualifications have not been previously assessed by the Institute, the processing time will be longer.
- Candidates will be informed in writing of the Institute’s decision via email.

Candidates must pass all four modules within three years to be awarded the Certified Credit Executive award. Upon achieving the award, candidates may progress to enrol for either the Retail Credit Professional qualification or the Business Credit Professional qualification.

DOCUMENTATION
The applications submitted will only be processed upon receipt of the full documentations. Candidates who submit incomplete applications (i.e. incomplete details or incomplete supporting documents) will be given five working days to provide the required information and/or documentation. If the candidate fails to submit the required information or complete set of relevant supporting documents within the five working days, the application will not be processed.

Qualification certificates/transcripts submitted must be certified true copy by one of the following:
- University Official; OR
- Notary Public; OR
- Commissioner for Oaths; OR
- Officer of the employing organization; OR
- Such other persons or agents as may be approved by Institute.
The signatory must sign and date the document(s) and provide the following details:

- Designation:
- E-mail:
- Contact Number:
a) If the documents are not in English or Bahasa Malaysia, they must be accompanied by translation of the documents which is done by a certified translator. The credentials and contact information of the certified translator must be stated.
b) Qualifications submitted for enrolment as a candidate for a qualification or for exemption must be awarded by universities/higher education institutions recognised by the awarding country’s Ministry of Higher Education or equivalent authority or the National Qualification Accreditation Agencies.
c) Malaysian qualifications should be listed in the Malaysian Qualifications Register or in Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) website.
d) AICB reserves the right to contact the awarding institution to verify a candidate’s qualification awards.
