AICB is pleased to collaborate with and support the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) on their regional briefing series on cybersecurity, which provides insights into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cybersecurity measures today, and how banking and financial services institutions are developing mitigation strategies to ensure survival in this new normal.

This virtual session will provide participants with a deeper understanding of threat intelligence impacting the financial sector now and beyond, from a regional perspective. Presentations by experienced industry practitioners will highlight the importance of innovation in cybersecurity following the experiences gained during the pandemic; methods of redesigning business processes and procedures to enhance resiliency; the cybersecurity challenges posed by a mobile workforce; and identifying new businesses opportunities and services to ensure a smooth return to normal operations. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with colleagues and peers.

As the Senior Executive for the Asia Pacific region Brian is responsible for strengthening FS-ISAC’s operations and influence globally through partnerships and innovative ways to service the needs of different jurisdictions. He establishes intelligence information sharing direction and priorities in conjunction with FS-ISAC guidelines; regional direction and focus; reviews intelligence analysts’ work to support best practices; and provides strategic guidance in line with FS-ISAC Intelligence and Security Operations requirements. Brian develops in-depth knowledge of financial sector assets, activities and constituents in Asia Pacific to provide meaningful critical information support and develop best practices for information and intelligence sharing. He engages with regulators, central banks, government agencies, CERTs, financial associations, law enforcement financial services companies, technical solutions companies and stakeholders within Asia Pacific to develop country-level partnerships and grow FS-ISAC membership. He also develops and manages global workshops, member meetings and summits that facilitate member sharing; leads regional member strategy committees to set FS-ISAC direction for a particular region; and represents FS-ISAC at global and regional critical security and intelligence conferences and meetings. Brian provides day-to-day leadership for all staff in the FS-ISAC Asia Pacific Regional Analysis Centre; and provides operational and logistical support to the AP Regional Directors and visiting external staff.
